My IMDb poll: "How old were you when you saw your 1st Ray Harryhausen movie? Which one was it?" (Here) --> [link]

My rendition of a personal hero (I had the honor of meeting). Stop-Motion Animation Legend & Oscar Winner: Mr. Ray Harryhausen
Ray is surrounded by his film creations: (L to R)
Ceratosaurus from "One Million Years B.C." (1966) [link] (4:55 min. mark)
Cyclops from "The 7th Voyage of Sinbad" (1958) [link]
& Rhedosaurus from "The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms" (1953) [link]
***Note to all you fellow Dino-Geeks & fan's of Ray*** I chose these 3 creations because:
Ceratosaurus is "my" favorite dinosaur, prob. because it was the 1st dinosaur I ever laid eyes on (Cover illus. from the book) "Dinosaurs and More Dinosaurs"
The "Rhedosaurus" was the 1st Harryhausen film I ever saw, (on an old black & white tube TV with rabbit ears) at age 7. *Seeing Harryhausen's prehistoric leviathan released from it's snowy tomb made SUCH an impression on me!*
& the Cyclops ... well it's The CYCLOPS! *arguably the most iconic of Ray's many creations* "The 7th Voyage of Sinbad" made such an impact, that I named my son after the actor who portrayed, Sokurah.
Nice job! I also had the honor of meeting Ray at the 65th anniversary screening of KING KONG in Omaha, Neb. I asked him to autograph a painting I made of KONG - it's in my gallery.
Thanks for the compliment, Tony! Isn't he AMAZING? So kind & gracious, he took the time to talk to all 3 of my (then) young sons & listen to them share their "favorite" of his creations / creatures.
